“This Morning” in my feed: a few thoughts

I saw This Morning and immediately opened a new tab. Then another. Then another.

If you squint, trending topics are basically a public pulse-check.

What I saw people linking to

The piece that made me pause was ‘This Morning hosts congratulate co-star live on air in sweet baby announcement’ over at Daily Star. It also clarified why the searches feel emotionally charged, not just informational.

Seeing those headlines helped me understand why This Morning is trending today ‘ it’s not just random curiosity; it’s people trying to piece together the same moment from different angles.

I tried to read a little slower than the timeline.

If you want to peek at the trend card yourself, here’s the source link I started from: https://trends.google.com/trending/rss?geo=GB

What I’m trying to do (for my own sanity) is split the topic into three quick questions:

  • What is it? (the plain-English version)
  • Why do people care right now? (the ‘what just happened?’ angle)
  • What does it say about the moment? (the vibe check)

Even without perfect answers, that little framework usually gets me from ‘huh?’ to ‘okay, I get it.’

For now, I’m filing This Morning under: interesting, complicated, and very ‘today’.

It’s strange how a trend can feel both wildly important and completely fleeting at the same time.
