The most telling headline I saw was ‘Everton working on loan move for Jack Grealish’ (The New York Times). It made me realise how much of trending is just people trying to catch up at once.
Seeing those headlines helped me understand why Safc is trending today ‘ it’s not just random curiosity; it’s people trying to piece together the same moment from different angles.
I found myself trying to explain it to someone out loud – which is a good test of whether I really get it.

What I’m trying to do (for my own sanity) is split the topic into three quick questions:
